Cemil Önal (who is in prison in the Netherlands), the finance manager of illegal gambling and drug lord Halil Falyalı, who was killed in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), said they gave a bribe of 20 million dollars to Süleyman Soylu.
Former interior minister Suleyman Soylu granted citizenship to the Iranian Ahmed Nazari, for whom there is a European Union-wide arrest warrant and a red notice on fraud charges.
Önal stated that the 20 million paid for the names of the Nazari and Falyalı families to be removed from the files in police investigations. Ahmet Nazari is being detained in Dubai for carrying out an assassination.
Minister Soylu stepped in to protect Hüsnü Falyalı after his arrest in Spain. Although Hüsnü Falyalı was not a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, Minister Soylu issued a fake document stating that his criminal record was clean as if he were a citizen and ensured Falyalı's release by providing that this document was sent to Spain. Falyalı, released on bail in Spain, fled to TRNC by sea. The murdered Falyalı was the baron in the illegal gambling, betting, and Forex industry in TRNC. His murdered brother, Halil Falyalı, was wanted internationally by America's anti-drug unit, DIE.
Exiled journalist @cevheriguvenpublished the voice recording sent by Önal, who is in prison in the Netherlands, from prison.
